Course permission
From Friday at 15 hrs to Sunday at half past seven to DGV course permission — and after that a deadline runs that is worth more than the course cost. This page shows both clocks.
The compact course is the most booked way to course permission — and it takes exactly one weekend. The clock runs it off: three blocks of tuition, practice time and two nights in between, the examination at the end. Twelve and a half hours of tuition, 25 lessons, one certificate.

And then a second clock starts
From now on you have a week. Anyone who becomes a member at Gerhelm within seven days of passing the course permission examination at the Frankengolfschule receives rewards — more than the course cost.

Rewards for the spontaneous 2026

The rewards require a membership and are tied to it — they are not a discount on the course. The vouchers are benefits in kind, not a cash payment. What counts is the day you passed the examination.
Pick the course, add rental clubs or not, choose your route — the sums appear straight away. Both routes stand side by side so that what the reward requires stays visible.
Rental clubs are included in the price of this course.

The rewards cover the course fee in full — and 131 € beyond that.
Trial membership 95 € per month
Once only for one year, for newcomers to golf only: full playing rights for 365 days, DGV card gold, handicap administration — and through 500 % golf, playing rights at four more courses on top. No joining fee. The membership runs from your joining date to the same day the following year.
Die Schnuppermitgliedschaft ist der Einstieg für Golfneulinge. Wer Schülerin, Student oder Azubi ist oder ein Kind anmeldet, zahlt weniger:
All course prices per person, examination fee included. The rewards apply in 2026 for a membership taken out within a week of passing the course permission examination at the Frankengolfschule; the vouchers are benefits in kind and are not paid out. The course fee goes to the Frankengolfschule, the membership fee to the golf club — two separate invoices.
Every course of the Frankengolfschule is taught under the guidelines of the German Golf Association and ends with the same examination. They differ only in how the time is spread out.

Who teaches
“I deliberately do without
complicated technical terms.”
Daniela Hunger PGA professional · Frankengolfschule
The Frankengolfschule sits on the site at Gerhelm — the same address, its own business. Every course permission course runs through it. Before the course there is a talk about your aims and possibilities; teaching is easy on body and back, in small groups, with video analysis. The swing recordings come by email after the lesson.
The questions that really get asked at reception and at the golf school — with the golf school’s answers.
Course permission is the golfer’s “driving licence”. It certifies that you can move around the course briskly and in keeping with the rules of golf and etiquette. In Europe it is required in order to play on a golf course, as a visitor or as a member.
None. Platzerlaubnis is simply another word for Platzreife.
No. Rental clubs to suit your height and sex can be booked for the duration of the course — 19 € for the compact course, 29 € for “Relaxed”. With “Deluxe” they are included in the price.
Comfortable clothing suited to the weather and the sport, and sturdy shoes. A polo shirt does the job nicely.
It would be nice, but it is not strictly necessary. As soon as you are signed up for a course permission course, the rules of golf materials and the digital test are sent to you.
The examination has a theory part on the rules and etiquette — you do that digitally beforehand — and a practical part out on the course. Everything that is examined is part of the course; the examination fee is included in the price.
With the certificate you may play — here and at most courses in Germany. After that there are further courses: the “course of 1000 tips and tricks” once a week and the target handicap courses as a way into the world of competitions.
No. At Gerhelm there is deliberately no joining fee and no other barrier to getting started. A membership always runs 365 days — from your joining date to the same day the following year.
Every course of the Frankengolfschule with dates, what is included and prices — and the place where you take them.
The course runs through the Frankengolfschule, the membership through reception. Anyone who does both in the same week gets 330 € back in rewards.
