    The tipping point is the first round from which membership costs less than the sum of the individual green fees. The comparison uses 85,00 € for 18 holes Mon–Fri, and for children, young people and apprentices 42,50 € — the green fee reduced by half. To the green fee calculator

    Rules and evidence

    Trial membership

    unrestricted, once only for one year

    • For newcomers to golf only, once.
    • Runs for 365 days from the start date.
    • After that it converts automatically to your membership model: Young Generation U35, single or partner membership.

    Individual membership

    unrestricted

    • The full membership without restriction.
    • Old contracts from 2011 with a percentage clause: there the amount counts as the 80 % fee.

    Partner membership

    • Amounts per person.

    Young Generation U35

    unrestricted

    • For everyone under 35.

    Second membership

    unrestricted

    • Requires a first membership at a German golf club affiliated to the DGV, paying full membership fees.
    • Proof each year via the fee invoice from your home club.

    Occasional players

    5 × 18 holes or 10 × 9 holes, all week

    • A fixed round allowance instead of unlimited playing rights: 5 × 18 holes or 10 × 9 holes, on any day of the week.
    • Every further round costs a green fee.
    • The full membership partnerships — 500 % Golf, Golfen unter Freunden and Golfland Donau — are not included in this rate.

    Pupils, students and apprentices

    • Up to the age of 25.
    • Valid proof, to be shown once a year.

    • The term runs from your joining date to the same day the following year — always 365 days, whatever the season.
    • Invoices are sent by email to the address on file.
    • For old contracts from 2011 with a percentage clause, the amounts for individual and partner membership count as the 80 % fee.
    • Annual right of cancellation, no minimum term — in every rate.

    And what it does not. Both are here in the same size — a club that is honest about its limits is believed.

    • Unrestricted playing rights Across the whole course, every day — on weekday rates Monday to Thursday, except public holidays.
    • DGV card gold With the gold regional marking, plus handicap administration and the federation fees.
    • No joining fee In no rate, and not as a one-off payment on joining either.
    • 500 % golf Free playing rights at Zollmühle, Rothenburg-Schönbronn, Steigerwald and Oberpfälzer Wald — five courses, 90 holes.
    • Golfland Donau Over 120 further courses at reduced rates, with a valid card.
    • Guests pay less Anyone playing as the guest of a full member pays 20,00 € less green fee — on every day, public holidays included.

    What is not included

    • Zollmühle only in part At Golfanlage Zollmühle your free playing rights apply all day Monday to Friday — at weekends and on public holidays only until 09:00 and from 15:00.
    • Occasional players without the partnerships The occasional player rate includes neither 500 % Golf nor Golfen unter Freunden or Golfland Donau. It gives you a fixed allowance, not unlimited playing rights.
    • Course permission is required No membership without course permission. The way there is available here — it is not part of the fee.

    06 The credit

    Your round from
    last week
    counts already.

    Green fees paid up to a week beforehand are credited 100 % against the first membership invoice when a full membership at Golfclub Gerhelm is taken out. The term begins on the day of the green fee round.

    From the 2026 green fee price list

    Anyone who played as a visitor and then becomes a member does not pay the green fee twice. It is credited in full — and the term starts on the day you played, not on the day you signed.

    07 The term

    Why waiting
    gets you nothing.

    A common objection goes: “I’ll wait until the spring.” It does not hold. The term starts on your joining date and ends on the same day the following year — whichever month you tap.

    33 365 Days

    One summer, one winter — always in play.

    The term runs for 365 days — from your joining date to the same day the following year.

    The trial membership differs: it runs 364 days from signing and then turns into a regular membership automatically.

    The questions that come up most often on the phone.

    Is there a joining fee?

    No. In no rate, and not as a one-off payment on joining either. There is the fee and nothing else.

    What if I join in the middle of the year?

    Then your membership runs from your joining date to the same day the following year — 365 days, whatever the season. You do not pay half a year for half a year, you pay a whole year for a whole year.

    Do I need course permission before I become a member?

    Membership requires an existing course permission. Anyone who does not have it yet starts with taster golf or a course permission course — you will find both under “Get started”.

    What does it cost if I only play rarely?

    Then the occasional player rate is worth a look: a fixed allowance of five 18-hole rounds or ten 9-hole rounds. On paper the single round in it costs more than a green fee — what you are buying is the member status, not the price per round.

    Can I pay monthly?

    Yes, in four ways: monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly. Paying yearly is the cheapest; the calculator shows how big the difference is for each rate in euros.

    Does my green fee from last week count?

    Yes. Green fees paid up to a week beforehand are credited 100 % against the first membership invoice when you take out a full membership, and the term starts on the day of your green fee round.

    What is 500 % golf?

    Free playing rights at four more courses in the metropolitan region: Zollmühle, Rothenburg-Schönbronn, Steigerwald and Oberpfälzer Wald. Together with Gerhelm that's five courses and 90 holes. At Zollmühle it applies all day Monday to Friday; at weekends and on public holidays only until 09:00 and from 15:00.

    How do I cancel?

    In writing — a letter or an email is enough, no registered post needed. In the first year you cancel the starter contract with one month's notice to the end of the starter year; after that you leave the club with three months' notice to 31 December. What counts is the date it reaches us. Easiest via the cancellation button in the footer of this page; reception is happy to help.
