120 minutes of trying golf — no experience, no equipment, no commitment. This page shows what you really need. It is less than you think.

With us you get the chance to experience this varied and absorbing sport at close quarters for 120 minutes and to try it out with no commitment whatsoever. Apart from good spirits you need bring nothing — everything else we naturally provide.

  • Golf clubs of your own We provide them — rental clubs are included in the course.
  • Golf balls Practice balls included.
  • Golf clothing A pair of trainers and comfortable clothes — you have those at home already.
  • Previous experience None needed. A PGA professional is with you from the very start.
  • Course permission Not needed for the taster session.
  • Membership Not needed — the course commits you to nothing.

Three ways
to try golf.

Family, health, nature – not the first words anyone associates with golf, and yet the right ones. Practice proves it daily. Which sport can say of itself that it brings three generations together? That it exercises the body, relaxes the mind and sometimes even rehabilitates?

Group taster session

25 € per course / person

  • 120 minutes
  • 4–10 participants
  • Fixed dates, Saturdays or Sundays 12:00–14:00
  • Rental clubs and practice balls included
  • Free use of the practice facilities

For everyone who wants to try it in a group first.

  • 45 minutes — the basics in theory and practice
  • On your own or as a pair, at a time arranged with you
  • 35 € per person with 2 participants, 59 € with 1 participant
  • Golf tuition from a PGA professional

03The afternoon

How the
120 minutes run.

  1. Welcome

    Arriving — rental clubs and practice balls are ready.

  2. The swing and first shots

    Experiencing what makes golf so absorbing in practice, guided from the very start by PGA professional Daniela Hunger.

  3. Tricks worth having

    Learning tricks worth having for your own tee shots.

  4. The green

    Feeling the green and putting successfully under experienced guidance.

  5. Winding down

    The practice facilities are open to you free of charge after the course to carry on getting to know them.

Der Ausklang

We are happy to arrange a tour in an electric golf cart for you. It lets you take in the sweep of Golfanlage Gerhelm and get to know our beautifully set course — please ask at reception for the price. Round your taster day off with a cup of coffee or tea on the sun terrace of our club restaurant “Zum Schäferkarr'n” and enjoy the view across the holes.

If you enjoy the afternoon, you have to do nothing — but you can go on. Here is what the next steps look like, with no small print at all.

    Taster session

    25 € · 120 minutes

    You are here: two hours of trying it out, with no commitment at all.

    Course permission

    from 199 € per person

    The Frankengolfschule course up to course permission as recognised by the German Golf Association — your licence to play the course. “Relaxed” over 6 days or “Compact” in 3 days for 199 € each, “Deluxe” individually with 500 minutes of tuition from 365 €.

  3. Step 3

    Trial membership

    95,00 € a month

    One year, full playing rights for 365 days — after that you decide about a regular membership. For those who decide quickly there is a reward for signing up within a week of passing the course permission examination.
