Online scorecard now in "My Area"
At the end of the round, the scorecard or watch app asks if it should go to your area. One tap is enough — and in "My Area" you'll now find your own analysis: points average, progress and hole by hole.
If you keep score on our digital scorecard, you can now keep it. After the last hole, GerhelmScore asks: "Save to My Area?" One tap is all it takes — and the round appears in your member area, alongside all the others you've saved there.
Your stats
From your second round onwards, the individual cards build into a picture. Under My Rounds you'll find your points average and your best round, your progress across all rounds — each shown as a bar, with the average of your last five above it —, the spread of your scores from eagle to double bogey, and a hole-by-hole table. That table shows which hole really costs you: not the one with the highest score, but the one with the biggest gap to par. Plus a comparison of par 3s, par 4s and par 5s, and of the front and back nine.
Even without signal
The scorecard keeps running on the course whether you have a network connection or not — and saving works the same way. If you have no signal on hole 14, your phone remembers the round and sends it off as soon as you're back online. You don't have to catch up on anything or type it in again.
What gets saved — and what doesn't
What's saved is your line: your result, your handicap index, your strokes hole by hole. From your playing partners, we only take the name you entered on the card — just as it would appear on a paper scorecard. We don't save their handicap indexes or their strokes. You can delete any round from your area individually at any time.
One thing matters: these rounds are your training diary, not your handicap. They aren't sent to the DGV and are not counting for handicap. What counts towards your handicap runs through the office, as before, and appears under Your Competitions at Gerhelm.
Logging in is now easier
So the round knows where it belongs, you need to log in — and we've made that simpler while we were at it. Instead of two ways, there's now just one field: enter whatever you have to hand — your email address, your membership number, your username, or the ID you use to book tee times. For the password, you can use ours or your PC CADDIE password; we try both. And if you don't have one to hand at all, just leave the field empty: you'll get a login link by email.
